Everytime i listen to this analysis off AI, I think the only way this can work is if you create a bunch of slaves that can do the mundane eg plumbing as you say, the clearing the rubbish, clearing the effluent in any form or situation. The packing of goods to deliver etc, just some examples. Can I just say that this AI all depends on electricity, or some other form of regenerative power, maybe create packs that allow AI to keep going for a millennia, I think, however anything that's been created degenerates, ie if you degrade education who is going to understand the internal workings of AI, i might be totally wrong of course as you say AI can regenerate itself and that may be true. I don't know really. However to put all your eggs in one basket. So therefore it seems to me and quite retro, it only takes one person too without avarice sabotage the whole thing. Eg the poor wee cleaner who needs to clean a room of a patient who is connected to a breathing apparatus and pulls out the plug to put her plug in to clean the floor. Just saying.
