10:52 to 11:12 - the key thing about this is that Shad does not listen and will not listen to the concerns about stolen work being used as part of the dataset training as he thinks that all artists steal (which he thinks makes what he does okay) and that the algorithm generates entirely "new" images (that's somehow not derivative) and therefore legally "fair use" (fair use does not protect clear cases of plagiarism that isn't made with the intent for commentary/critique/parody/satire). Nobody will get through to his thick egotistical skull. His own brother Jazza (who unfortunately is also yet another techbro - although nowhere near as pathetic and sad as Shad) had to diplomatically concede that Shad is a "skilled artist" just so the conceited Shad would shut up in the first 53 seconds of this video. I grew up with a conspiratorial nut-job step-dad who so firmly believes in aliens, that pyramids were made from the top down, foo fighters (not the band, but the term used to describe the UFOs allegedly made by the Axis powers), and civilisations under the north/south poles that nothing could sway his mind and would argue until the original point gets so derailed into fiction and random esoteric no-name amateur self-published authors that you have no point of reference, or you just give up to save yourself the time of day - and each time this happened my step-dad would view himself as the debate champion and victor. This is the type of person Shad is; a person who cannot and will not concede.
