lol, let's just switch out 'artist' for a second. "Hey look, if you're a mechanic at Ferrari, then you deserve to pay your rent. But in this economy, if you're just repairing local cars, then you have to adjust your prices down. It's just a hobby." The guy is missing a crucial economic issue, the car owner and mechanic are BOTH struggling to pay rent. The grocery store owner and cashier are BOTH struggling to put food on the table. Some artists do it for fun, but if you are paying rent with your art, it's a job. And AI is DEFINITELY stealing jobs in multiple sectors.
