No one cared to explain how self driving cars negotiate potholes, road works, not to mention bridge works. How about the coming train, the tower bridge in London? How would it manage the lack of infrastructure? Some roads are unmarked with paint, most of the world's roads are unpaved. The road is just too impractical, but there is a proven self driving system that works. It's called autopilot and it has not failed.
