my mum, who is turning 60 this summer and has adhd, had to do all this! the moment she approached me and asked me if i could help her making a video of her for a job interview i was just floored. this is all such absolutely bs nonsense. nevermind that my mum is already being discriminated against by regular people interviewer and now even more so by the AI due to her age (but what is she suppossed to do? the state says she has to work at least 5 more years before retirement or she will get major cuts 🙃 ) all this does is make it even harder to apply for jobs, and even basic jobs that used to be many peoples bread and butter are becoming are impossible to get into. the new AI regulation laws that the EU just passed look like they’re trying to intervene in some of these cases but it’s not nearly enough and still way too lenient and takes too long to actually be binding. side note- the other day i tried to call my health insurance and the AI lady kept insessently talking to me while i waited for an actual person to pick up the phone. i constantly had to press new buttons and affirm verbally that i still want to wait for a person, it was madness! the AI literally tried to haress me out of the queue! i yearn for the days of badly recorded classical music in the waiting queue ..
