This seems like the type of thing that would necessitate an uprising by the people bent on destroying the people and companies responsible for this technology, no matter how many that may be, and all the way down to the last man. It seems like it would require decades of such prosecution, ushering in a new age of witch trials, only focused on any who may be involved in the field of AI.
