I'm an ML developer deep into the AI art community and I just want to say like 99% of us agree with every single point you brought up!! I want people to know that most of us are on your guys' side. I'm really close to a few members of StabilityAI (creators of stable diffusion) and they all share the same sentiments you've expressed as well. There's just a very loud (very reddit-ey) minority of horny nerds that like to think they speak for everyone.
I just want to provide a little unity because the social aspect of this has gotten incredibly terrible and toxic (the leader of an organization I'm in has been getting spammed with gore, death threats, people found and harassed their parents, etc), we are on your side! Hate to fight, if anyone wants to communicate with me, e.g. if they want insights from inside the community about ethics I'm willing to chat (but main takeaway I want people to .. take away, is we agree with you and I'm so tired of being harassed lmao)
