I mean isn’t there something inherently human about the fact that the ai learns to hide its true self and only show what is acceptable? Isn’t that what we all go through growing up? When you have small talk with people or smile at strangers, do you do that because you want to or because it’s socially appropriate? At some point the line between I want to and I have to(because it’s the right thing to do/socially acceptable/morally upright) gets blurred.
