I've struggled to articulate my feelings about AI for a while, but I fully agree with your take. What's the point in AI "art"? It's just about the money. Not the people. AI might be able to produce a billion paintings, books, and music in a second, and nobody would give a single fck about any of it because it lacks thought, consideration, and empathy. I really hope that eventually, all the cryptobros, venture capitalists, and overall art illeterate people will get bored of the technology, the bubble will collapse, and it will become just a gimmick reserved for at most stock images and more niche and minimal details. The damage to the Internet and news will be borderline permanent, though.
