Actually most of the companies (talking about the tech sector) admitted that massive lay-offs happened not bc of AI. These things happened bc of the boom in hiring in the Coronavirus era. Articles talk about 25% of gain in productivity when USING AI. So I think I can say that developers are safe for a mid-long time. Not mentioning that AI Agents aren't gods, they actually are very mid bc of how their models work, these things literally don't think like us, they just send you the most probable response, not the smartest, not the better, not even the safer.
Fun fact: Some companies that laied-off truly because of AI ended up rehiring the old employees 😅
