Note, separate Generative AI from General AI, very different things. "General", I don't think it's coming soon, if ever.
"Generative" is when a company sucks up all the art, text or music on the internet (illegally) and then uses that database to make an app that mixes it up and spits out stuff that looks new (but isn't), based on a text prompt. This is only happening because tech venture capitalists are looking for the next big thing, and haven't realized yet that Generative AI isn't it. (It's almost stopped improving, and they're losing billions)
