Just wait, the coming storm for rights is just around the corner. You'll have the Star Trek "Data is a lifeform" crowd, and the Star Wars "Droids are property" crowd going at it. That's just the side show. All the while, the people in the background that own these things will be the ones who benefit. The problem with AI isn't AI, it's people. People taking unethical actions, people letting their feels dictate what they think of a machine, and people using this as the next platform to get noticed. Waving a multicolored flag didn't do it for them. Now it's time to marry an AI. Filling a hole in their miserable lives with the attention of strangers. What has this world come to? I don't remember reading about Henry Ford dealing with this over making some cars.
