Really well done Bernie but this is honestly just not true or at the very least, the evidence is not showing as much. While AI might replace "some" jobs we're talking about customer service stuff maybe and maybe some stuff that only the top 1% really cares about but the market will even out eventually. So for example, if you don't know it actually takes lots of power, equal to human paying, to run some of these machine McDonalds or AI customer service stuff. Even then, you need an almost equal cost human level workforce to maintain said machines or "just in case" something goes wrong which it will inevitably do so. For example the AI that they use at most Panda express to take orders, I would say most of the time a human has intervened to help with that order because the AI gets something wrong. And if people can't order food at a restaurant, they will quickly stop going to it. However this is if we strawman Bernie's argument. AI is not and never will be truly creative. As in create something new, it can make AI looking things which I guess is creative but an artists has already done some of this stuff but just as good or if not better than an AI, with a unique style and better storytelling. AI will never match humans when it comes to creativity, as a musician, I have zero fear of AI taking my job. Yeah sure maybe for like corporate stuff like news anchor songs, but then AI companies that do music, 99% of the time they have subscription royalties which when you do songs with a human. You can just ask the human "hey can I use this song?" and they can either say yes or no and that is all. There's very little difficult contracts with real human music, and even if there is, usually the company doesn't work with that person. I appreciate that Bernie looks out for the lower class very much but AI will not wipe out all our jobs, even jobs that use lots of AI, they will not replace humans ever.
