I studied web development and digital design at university and my professor used to always go on about AI, He always had this belief that in 15-20 years time that universities and colleges will shut down and the metaverse and VR will be where students learn. We actually tested this one time where he got all the students VR headset and we went into a metaverse classroom. It was both really interesting and also really dystopian.
So in a sense yes, teachers could be replaced by AI
