I don't really use AI very much and I don't think its cool to pass AI art as real artwork, but there are a few things I see absolutely nothing wrong with. Like, for example, AI using and learning from existing images and artwork. All its doing with that is learning, not copying the entire things. To me, this is the same as an artist looking at a picture of a car or something so they can accurately draw said car.
Now, if someone is trying to hack or cheat using AI, that's one thing, but why should anyone care if someone is using it in a harmless way that isn't causing any issues? AI is pretty damn impressive technology, actually.
