People can't have partial ownership of the AI and AI produced goods as long as the clusters are owned by the likes of Sam Altman. The Sam Altmans and Elon Musks of the world would dictate who gets to eat and who not. There is 0 agency in that. It is them having all the power and we 0.
People nobody has ever voted for. People who cannot be removed at all. Neither Peacefully nor violently. Once they have millions of combat robots ready to kick our buts it is game over. That is the true singularity we are heading toward. There is no ownership in that. Heck there is no space at all in that for us. Only begging to these tech oligarchs as if they are gods. This is way more horrible then any "ai going rogue" - bogeymen they use to distract people from the real problem.
If this guy truly had the good of the people in mind he would give up on private ownership of the ai clusters. But in reality he does everything in his power to keep ai monopolized. China threw a wrench in there with Deepseek. However the countered that by making computing and energy prohibitively expensive. Imagine people had still access to affordable compute and energy. They could train their own models in huge collaborative networks. It wouldn't the same as data centers. But it would be build, ran, and owned by the people. Ironically China is much closer to that scenario than the US is. Hope they throw more wrenches into their plans in the future by flooding the market with cheap hardware. It will take a few years. Ram will be the first thing they will provide. Hopefully GPUs follow soon after.
