So, what you’re suggesting is that private businesses and corporations should take all the inherent benefits of automation and artificial intelligence and completely offset them by reducing employees workloads while still paying them the same amount?
For example imagine your job is to deliver newspapers, and you’re paid based on successful deliveries. Using a bike, you can deliver 50 newspapers in an 8-hour day. Then one day, you decide to get a car to make your job easier, and now you can deliver those same 50 newspapers in just 3 hours.
Here’s the question: Why wouldn’t you keep working the same amount of time and make more money using your new tools? After all, the tool is an investment in your growth. Failing to take advantage of it is wasteful.
