TL ; DR - People be demanding respect left and right these days, forgetting that it's some thing *'earn'* from strangers. And if collectives of strangers decide that you didn't deserve it because AI took all the credits from the 'masterpiece you made', then scrams. Go doing something that can actually earn it instead of roleplaying a bullied victim. Respect is forged on blood and sweat, fire and iron, if your ego are that fragile and broken down just from a few criticisms, then that's the first sign of you never deserve any of it. I personally have no qualms on the usage of AI as assisting tools, because it will sooner or later becomes subjective matter to those viewing them when it publicized. However, the downside remains if your works looks interesting enough to catch some eyes, or it just going to look 'factory default' like many AI output before priors. Many has said it countless of time and I'll say it again. AI is a tool, and people using solely AI to create 'their art' yet feels proud of it, is as adorable and toddler playing family in a playpen with their toys. You're saying you order a coffee from automatic coffee machine with its perfectly curated recipe and claimed it's your personal masterfully brewed? Yes, you do, kid. How adorable. If 'Painstakingly looking for a perfect prompt to create perfect output' make you an artist, then discover a formula to effectively calculates 1+2+3...+10 make me a mathematician ... that just a research, you only found the better solution, not develop any meaningful skills, you only ends up making an appealing piece of art, but still lack to ability to express them from your personal feelings. You can't use those same 'formula' with different genre of arts, because AI operates in logic, not artistic, but you ends up doing the same exact thing like how you do previously, finding a perfect prompt instead of using different method to produce it and convey different messages or emotion, yet you would call that a form of 'skill'?
