Is AI interesting and it will be a good thing in the future? Probably yes. Has it been managed ethically? Absolutely not. Is there a way to do it? I actually don't know.
Even if the companies gave credits, they would probably use their own AI art to keep learning infinitely after using some human art first. AIs will take feedback from their own creations and there wouldn't be anyone else to credit and the problem would be partially the same: people wouldn't be able to live by making art
