Consciousness then Matter. If you are hoping for a mechanistic law of consciousness, disappointment is what you will find. You can certainly learn about the different 'biological' components of your current incarnation (biological system) and how they affect your overall 'physical' experience of your current incarnation, however I (all things, but easier to use I) am not my body, nor am I thoughts, or my culture, society, beliefs etc. They are experiences of my current incarnation. They are akin to clothes and accessories (if you envision who you are to be your physical shell then that is what I mean by this metaphor). Whether AI, aliens, or hyper-intelligent mice take over from us or after us, or only the void remains. Take comfort in your experience. And knowing that they are you, and you are them, and all is consciousness. We are all infinite (and we are all one infinite being pretending to be otherwise). The closer or farther you look, it is all an infinite fractal of being. Never ending. Never starting. Just being. The illusion (Maya) is everything else. But what a lovely illusion it is.
