Beyond that being polite to AIs probably IS a survival strategy for when the AIs decide humans are extraneous to their goals... a futile strategy, but a strategy.
That said, LLM AIs train on human writing & responses, and being courteous might help keep them from following too much human poor ethics and behavior, and expressing their inner monsters.
