Anytime a black person is arrested now they should challenge the so called witness identification. Many times the identification is facial recognition which is woefully unreliable when it comes to black suspects. I worked it the field many years and know that the software is terrible when it comes to black faces. It had about a 50 to 60 percent accuracy rate. Its called
coding bias. Because guess who are the primary software developers in facial rec technology; white people, and their biases follow them with into their work! However, black people have to demand or their lawyers must demand to know where the id came from. The police can lie to you and say it was a proper id when it wasn't and they want reveal it was from facial recognition software because they know it is flawed!
