It's not this dark. AI will change the field where it's useful. But some work can't be done using AI. Food production, farming, plumbing, roadworks, etc. Maybe office workers will have to train in these fields. And the solution is simple: tax the companies benefiting from AI, and increase pay for human workers. A plumber is already earning more sometimes than a programmer, for example. And this trend will continue.
