I am a digital artist and I also will make AI art to use for bots. I think AI art has its own learning curve if you are invested in it and it is also a technical skill of its own. I don’t have any issue with AI art as long as it isn’t being sold as a commodity. That being said, someone that exclusively makes AI art calling themselves an artist would irritate me. Although there’s skill in making AI art, it is not remotely transferable to actual art skills. The closest you could get is that it’s a type of coding skill, but even then they shouldn’t call themselves programmers. Like holy fuck.
