I’m a writer but not a very good artist, so I looked into prompt based AI art generation as a way to see concept illustrations of characters and settings and even scenes from one of my stories, and I was blown away. In some cases, the AI made creative choices I didn’t specify, but they were so good, I actually adjusted some of my character descriptions to match what the AI came up with. In this way, I began to see the value of AI art as a collaborative tool. That’s the power of AI, and when I saw that, I was sold, at least for art. I agree with Brandon-AI has a long way to go to replace the human writer. But illustrated artwork? For someone like me who can’t draw and doesn’t have the money to hire a professional artist? I can make professional quality art with written prompts, that look just as good if not better than what a human could do? I’m sorry, but that’s amazing, and for me, irresistible.
