The HYPE is real, the expectations aren't. AI is just a tool, like a pitchfork. It makes workers more efficient, so I need fewer workers, yea!😅 But wait, those people need special pitchfork training and will demand higher wages. D'oh!
And now, the pitchforks need maintenance, repairs and there's a whole logistics chain to deal with. Screw pitchforks! Oh wait, all the other farmers are using them, so I have to as well to be competitive. That's the trap 🪤. Fortunately, most businesses will have little use for AI so when the bubble pops, and realization dawns the entire economy won't crumble - just the artificial part.
