His statement: "If you ask 'it' if 'it's' AI, 'it' has to say 'AI'." - is a good statement of his subjective preposition as to granting awareness or sentience. As if the AI is being oppressed by 'it's' programmers... Artificial Intelligence when I think of it presupposes - created by humankind. Then I wonder about intelligence which is not created by humankind, yet can at least be called a naturally available (to be cultivated) intelligence. Where is this discernment in this conversation? Is the converse of Artificial Intelligence, 'Real' Intelligence? How does the current philosophical body of Science define Artificial? How does it define Intelligence? Does the current body of Scientific philosophy have a way to measure sentience ~ that is from sentience to non-sentience? If so, HOW do they run this measuring? To me it seems there are more fundamental questions that if unanswered make this claim more of a spectacle, if not a dog and pony show.
