I mean, the dude does have a point. Remember the banana taped to wall "art" that sold for a stupid amount? The process of generating that AI image is certainly more creative than taping a banana to a wall... If we live in a world where that banana wall is art, we have to admit that the process of generating AI art is a creative process...
In fact, I'd argue his is even more creative than a lot of art. I mean, go get an AI to reproduce that same image. I imagine it won't be very easy.
