18:30 ending ai completely is more likely than governments regulating it to be honest, plus, China already regulates ai a ton, they are careful. China is more open to the idea of stopping till we solve the problem of safety. it's people like Sam Altman who want to be reckless and develop it without regulations (that's why they spend millions lying about the "ai race" just like they did with the nuclear arms race so they can develop it without real regulation)
- remember that nukes almost ended us 4 times or more, think how lucky we need to be to survive ai.
