Raw LLM Responses

I am a firmware engineer and when i first asked CHAT GPT 3 to write a program for a pic32mx microcontroller. I asked it to setup pins to blink a LED using a timer interrupt and it did it in a few seconds, and it WORKED!!! this was a year ago!!! It was just a test to see what all the fuss was about, and i was blown away!!!!! After using Chat GPT 4.0 for over 6 months i can say no programming job will be safe in the next 5 years! I am under the assumption that if we can do it, AI can do it better some day! Maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon!!! Programming will be a thing of the past and as AI takes over the simple programming jobs, it will work its way up to the very very complex jobs. This will happen because AI will be better, faster, and cheaper. It will be like in Star Trek where you just tell the computer what you want and it will do it... Yes it will be that simple! There will be a point and i expect within 10 years AI will be able to write an entire operating system from scratch and do it within a few hours or sooner. For the people pointing out all its mistakes, don't worry they are working on it and before you know it those mistakes will become less common. What we are exposed to with chat gpt4 is only a fraction of its power and i assure you what openai has in its labs is far better than chat gpt 4. AI will also lead the human race into a new era of progress and that is also where it can get scary because AI will be smarter than us!!!
