At least not too long ago, these facial recognition programs were not as good as recognising black people, as white, because they were trained more with white people. If this has not been fixed 100%, then this will lead more innocent black people getting arrested for what they did not do.
I think the legal actions against police with this, should not only include her case, but make it a case of racial discrimination, because it is a known fact that they misidentify black people, yet police still uses it. They know it discriminates, but choose to use it regardless. Could make a very big and valuable case to sue police about.
