As an SDE who’s watched the rise and hype of AI and has been in the industry for 4+ years, you know one thing for sure: current AI is great at doing the stuff we’re just too lazy to do.
The moment you ask it real problems—like actual code changes for a major Spring Boot upgrade (3.8 → 4.0.0)—it starts hallucinating harder than a first-sem engineering student at their freshers’ party.
(Used AI for grammar btw… which kinda proves my point.)
