I really don’t think anybody is actually panicking, I think you just saw a win and are just drumming up more sensationalism. The AI art is theft argument fundamentally just doesn’t track when you realize it is doing what human artists have done throughout history. What just makes you mad is that it’s faster at doing it, and the people who are exceptionally mad about it are even more mad that it’s better than they could ever hope to be.
It’s stupid to defend anything disgusting companies like Disney do.
