This is right on the one hand and utter BS on the other. Why are property owners being asked to foot the bill for the excessive greed of corporations? Congress needs to call in experts like Andrew, to figure out how to tax corporations to fund a UBI. For every working person replaced by AI in a job, there should be a tax on that company. It could be as small as $0.001, but for someone like Amazon replacing/laying off 600,000 people, it would be a sizeable contribution to the fund annually. But we need to do something and I applaud municipalities for experimenting.
