okay I have watched the full interview twice now and honestly, I just don't see it. The whole "AI will go bad" argument here is built on numerous assumptions (like AI having a self-preservation instinct) that are never checked. While it really is an interesting interview that looks at many relevant and important aspects, I would have really appreciated some tougher questions and a bit more courage to question what is being said and some more skepticism towards the stated opinions. As it is, this is unfortunately a very Joe Roganish episode of "wow man, yeah, that's crazy". I'll be sure to check out the book though.
