Some issues with the time for other things.
'Other things like what exactly?' *You* are an artist. Not everyone is, and not everyone has the time and resources to engage in it. We humans have a limited time on earth, and not everyone can engage in everything, especially if it has a steep learning curve that requires constant practice.
So while I absolutely understand the need for artists to protect their work, and I abhore corporate AI, *private* usage (like for an private ttRPG for example) are totally ok un my eyes.
And yes commission painters exist. But not everyone has the money for that, and if you want a *quality* picture you'd go there anyway
