This is the stupidest video I’ve seen. There is no AI. What Microsoft are calling AI is glorified autocomplete, and the improvements are _far_ from exponential. If you haven’t noticed, this year’s ChatGPT and Gemini are a couple percent “smarter” than last year’s at best. They’ve already hit a technological ceiling and are forced to throw more and more compute at it for marginal gains.
The current transformer model has hit its peak. To come up with actual intelligence they’d need to come up with an entirely technology from the ground up - and that’s sadly not happening in our lifetime, or our children’s lifetime, or their children’s lifetime.
And that’s completely ignoring the fact that we’re just talking about text-based “intelligence.“ The robotics industry is at an even more primitive state than the software industry. It’ll take millennia for robots to catch up to biological organisms in balance, dexterity, _lifelikeness._
