LLMs are not conscious. Does not mean we cannot build AGI. If it's capable of synthesizin ideas than it is conscious.
An LLM can only draw what it's been trained on. But, if your AGI is trained to know what coffee, wine, and overflowing wine are, and when you ask it to draw overflowing coffee and it does it than it is conscious. That's not saying LLMs cannot be a tool an AGI uses to produce conscious thoughts.
