I recently attended a talk by the British composer Nitin Sawney CBE - one of the listed signitaries of the AI training statement. He revealed he recently sold off his publishing rights, “cashed out” as he put it, partly because it was felt the right time to do it in his career, and partly because he was terrified of what Generative AI is going to do to his industry/livelihood.
