In it’s “productive” context it’s only there to replace entertainers and craftsmen even more, one of the most fulfilling things you can do in life. At best it’s that, to save a buck essentially or use in a few fringe cases where an actor or someone is older.
At it’s worst it’s used in deepfake porn, misinformation , identity theft and targeted attacked to undermine individuals. And it already is. It’s more damaging to people who aren’t known, as people would would take the deepfakes more at face value, especially as the tech improves (and it will.)
The gross intentions of some seem to outweigh the entertainment value of the “tool” to me.
