Alpha Fold is a great example of drug development that came from AI. And when they figured out they could do all the proteins they just did it and put it out there for free for everyone. It has already made a huge difference toward medical advancement and will continue to do so for a long time.
There needs to be more of that stuff. But Demis Hassabis is a good example of an AI leader that is largely focused on Science, while still loudly talking about the concerns around AI. We need more leaders in the AI space like him.
