With my interns and junior staff I know where their pitfalls are and limits of their knowledge in general. With AI I have no idea where they are going to be mistaken and they may in fact be convincing in their assertions when completely wrong. I teach my juniors to say ‘I don’t know’ AI doesn’t give me this, and even with a strong prompt AI is unreliable and doesn’t seem to be trainable in the same way as a human worker. Companies that adopt AI over humans in many regards will be so error prone they will ditch it pretty quickly.
