Your view of art and AI generated images is the exact same as mine, point to point! Even if AI is trained ethically, it still doesn't erase the fact that the AI itself generates soulless images that lack humanity and authorship. The core issue is that no matter what, AI generated images will remain without value. They are empty, and there's nothing interesting about them. Not even if they objectively look good and appealing. They still lack soul, and very obviously look plastic. They have this uncanny, dreamy feeling of something that your brain would come up with in your sleep. It's supposed to look good, but it doesn't feel real. It feels stale, lifeless, it bears no meaning or purpose. And no matter how colorful and saturated it is, it will always feel dull It also entirely defeats the purpose of creation. It discourages people from learning art, and it discourages artists from persuing their art. Why bother when you have a machine that can generate an image for you within a few words and clicks, right? And that mindset is ruining people. And it's ruining the very core of humanity. It's ruining authenticity. It doesn't feel organic or natural It's good if it inspires people to draw or learn drawing, but it's such a sad minority. Of course, humans will always continue to create, and artists will absolutely do everything they can to prove that their art is more valuable than AI, and they will keep fighting for their creative rights, pushing AI off the internet But, still. The fact is, this is giving people even more reason to not bother learning art. The people that use AI in this way never cared about art in the first place, therefore they can't understand what it is, nor can they grasp the idea of why AI is so hated by artists Edit: Forgot to add, I also absolutely love the idea of connecting with other artists and trying to understand how they felt, what ideas they were trying to convey, etc. I love art because it's a way to see the artist's inner world, or in other words, their soul, speaking figuratively. When looking at human art, you can feel that it was created by a human. You can connect with them because they're also a human just like you. And that's the beauty of art. Art is the reflection of the artist's soul, and I think that's beautiful. To me, that's the definition of art. AI can never compete with that, nor can it even come close to that feeling
