I think the problem is always how it's used, and how it is used depends on how it's designed. When it's so easy to make something "eh, good enough", and people use it in horrible ways, that is a problem. Those are my thoughts on the problem of it's use. A seperate problem is of how AI itself works and learns. Is it morally right to take something someone made, copy and paste it into an artificially intelligent software, and then mass produce things similar, but not quite right? The companies will understandably say that AI needs training data, tons and tons of it, and after all it's "right there", and that this question is one about a necessary evil in the face of progress, with an infinite ambitious future good that will come with said progress. I say that we've already got further from where we've been. We've advanced technologically and yet here we are. We can't give up on a bright ambitious future that is objectively good via technological advancement, but we surely can't lose what little we have left that makes us human. I think I'm most afraid of those who use AI as a tool for evil instead of one for convenience and efficiency. More than de-art-ifying greed of corporate giants and lazy ignorants who are content with a copy. The hammer replaced the hand, but in due time the man who fired the hand to punch the nail shall hire it to guide the hammer. Those with weak fists, too lazy to appreciate the strike shall nail theirs poorly, that can't be changed. But those with conviction to do harm should never be given a hammer.
