I feel like this particular situation is more of a "young artist gets manipulated" than "AI IS THE PROBLEM!!". Mind you, some of the arguments in here against AI are way better than all the screeching I see about copyright issues. I am not sure that using super materialistic arguments (muh copyright) is very useful argument when the whole mindset behind AI art and its promotion (hte infamous "I buy a product not the process" argument) is already giga materialistic, it's just arguing in the playground of the other side. If anything these people should be mocked for being so incredibly shallow, but sadly the whole thing is turning into another tribalistic sportsball match.
