If Legal Precedent is anything to go off of, it realistically couldn't be copyrighted. There was a case where an Orangutan snatched up a photographer's phone, and took a really good selfie, a headshot of it smiling. After the photographer got the phone back, he saw the picture and wanted to copyright it. The only problem here was that the photographer did not take the picture, the Orangutan did, the orangutan claims ownership, but since it can file for copyright, the selfie becomes public domain and anyone can use it. That's literally how AI art works; Something else that copyright its own works makes something that you can use. You might even paying the guys who keep the "orangutan". It's not a commission, but it's certainly closer to one that it is you doing the work. Even if the models genuinely are actual Artificial Intelligence who make art the same way we do, you still wouldn't get the rights to the art, cause then it'd be a commission; you can use it, but you can't profit off of it, only the original artist can. If you wanted to get into art to make money, you need to do the work yourself. Try a different form if one doesn't work for you, there's tons of ways to make artwork, don't just give up the idea to someone who won't give it back to you.
