See for me it a matter of quality. When you listen to music you're not thinking "is the artist a drug addict or a pervert?" And so in the same degree im not asking if the music is made by Ai. But the problem is Ai is significantly lower quality just because of its inherent flawed. Mechanically speaking the machine is compiling a collage of images based around your request through a pattern recognition, but it also means the finer details go missing and unique aspects are far harder to replicate. Or in other words the machine is incapable of creativity & quality. Now is it useless? No Ai art is still incredible for many things: in terms of technology it's pattern recognition which can be a vital tool for say medical field searching for anomalies. The second use is it give non-artist ability to express their thoughts like artists. Obviously it's not to the same quality but the ability to express an idea is valuable. Finally, it's most ironic & valuable use...is to artist & designers. Specifically speaking as a tool for drafting up an idea or reference no different to a concept piece. One of the biggest issues for artists is if they mistranslated an idea or that idea is less appealing when applied, then it can unintentionally ruin hours of work or the art as a whole. But by using it you can create early drafts to ensure customer satisfaction. Using technology for efficiency & quality should always be a consideration.
