That's what happens in capitalism, high labour cost incentives automation. The automation reduces demand for human labour thus reducing the wages people ask, when the wage is low enough automation is not worth as before, then the market settles down. What we will see is jobs which require a degree having its wage lowered to the point people with no degree (blue-collar jobs) can make the same amount.
