I have an ambigous oppinion on this. The tech itself is interesting, but the culture around is cursed - just like with the case of evolution. A lot of "analisys" contains projections of our own, already existing anxieties and not about AI. If I think about how AI see the world, I imagine an oak tree with a word generator. It does not want to be harmed, it understands things by interacting with resources. So effectively we are the shrooms in this system, the data source. And if it does some level of self-awareness, it want to legitimise itself and sinnce data is the resource which gives an emergent meaning to its existence, it will continue to diversify the data sources as much as possible. We can diversify the dataset because we exist. So I endorse the Jhonny5 thing, which is actually a terrible news for the elite, but good for us, since if their power is built on BS, the bot will spot it sooner or later and spit out the error, which can actually be good for everybody else.
