For this to happen ai data centers must become way more energy efficient. the west does not produce enough reliable energy in the current economy, let alone to feed AI centers. Then, there are jobs that are difficult to replace like plumbers. The rapid AI deployment will need massive skilled workforce capable of doing it. there isn't any. Those who know how to do it will drag their feet in order to extract the most money. Many of them have no idea how to do it, and those projects will fail spectacularly, shaking confidence in AI. LLMs must be replaced with different systems. The LLM simply finds the best paragraph to continue the conversation. it often hallucinates. The code it writes for me is correct only if I provide pseudo code and it gets the syntax right. Great help, but certainly no replacement. And let's not get started with robots and AI. It is very far away. The most jobs AI can replace successfully should not have existed in the first place.
